2006 Our Mini Mill arrived, We have acquired more animals and are working on getting the mill up and running while keeping all the animals healthy and happy as well as maintain our full time regular paychecks.

Ranch of the Oaks is located on 20 acres of flat to rolling hills in Lompoc, CA. We have a variety of animals. Alpacas, Llamas, Icelandic Sheep, Ostriches, Emus, Chickens and assorted other pets and critters.
There are sunny days and cool coastal weather in the mornings and nights. A very comfortable place for humans and their friends.
Our dream started in1999 when Mette and Tom met and joined households as well as dreams. We started with raising Club Lambs and chicken eggs.
On August 4, 2001 we married. The dream continues ......
Then we discovered alpacas. The soft fiber, the hum, the ease of upkeep and the business potential. Our dream grew! We bought our first alpaca in 2002. We also added 4 llamas to our ranch that year.........as well as rescued Emus. Could that be why we also have 6 dogs and 6 cats?
In 2003 we became "Ranch of the Oaks" We added Ostriches to the mix. The result of trading an unbroken horse for a pair of 2 month old chicks. We also grew in Alpaca and Llama numbers...... We had our FIRST Alpaca and Llama crias
2004 brought us into more building and fencing projects for the ever expanding menagerie. We also acquired 2 registered Llamas and added registered Icelandic sheep to the mix.
2005 We continued to increase our number. More rescue animals. We added wild turkeys. Also we found out that our "Mini Mill" was to arrive a year early and had lots to do to get ready for its delivery early next year.
2007 has been a year of change. Mette is now working the ranch and Fiber Mill full time. The mill has expanded into the rest of the building. The ranch store is becoming a reality. Tom is building and building..........
